Dr. Jones-Konihowski represented Canada in a variety of sporting events as a world-class athlete in the pentathlon. Born in Vancouver, she was on the National Track and Field Team for 16 years, made the Canadian Olympic Team three times, ranked first in the world twice and named Canadas“Female Athlete in 1975 and 1978. She was also awarded the Order of Canada in 1978, named to the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1980, and the Canadian Olympic Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.
