Guy Vanderhaeghe, O.C., S.O.M., BA’71, Arts’72, MA’75, DLitt’97

Guy Vanderhaeghe is a writer of novels, short stories, plays, and telefilms. He received the Governor s General Award for his collection of short stories, Man Descending, and a second time for his novel, The Englishmans Boy. His latest novel, The Last Crossing, was awarded the Canadian Booksellers Association Ex Libris Award for best fiction book of the year, and won the CBC Canada Reads program. He is also an Officer of the Order of Canada, a Member of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit, and a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
