Tom Courchene has had a tremendous impact on our understanding of a vast array of Canadian policy issues. Born in Wakaw, SK, and educated at both the U of S and Princeton (PhD’67), he has authored and edited more than 50 books and 300 articles on a wide range of economic, social, fiscal, and intergovernmental policies. Currently the Jarislowsky-Deutsch Professor of Economics and Finance at Queens University, he was inducted as an Officer into the Order of Canada in 1999.
