Three Centennial Chairs – one each in environment, public health and public policy to correspond with the three new schools proposed in the University of Saskatchewan’s Integrated Plan – are the first of a number of different chairs outlined during the U of S centennial year.
The Chairs are seen as one of the most powerful ways to reflect the University’s aspirations in research and teaching, and are instrumental in recruiting and retaining faculty.
It is hoped the successful candidates for the Centennial Chairs will be announced in 2007 with five-to-seven year terms. The chairs are faculty positions that have a specific focus resources to respond to provincial and U of S priorities.
