Mr. McFaull was on the University’s Board of Governors throughout the l970s and served as chairman for two years. Known as an “idea man”, he was instrumental in establishing the University’s first corporate structure, SED Systems mc, of which he is chairman of the Board of Directors. He was also active in the establishment of the POS Pilot Plant and the Veterinary Infectious Disease Organization and serves on the governing bodies of both. In addition, he helped develop the Goodale and Termuende Farms, acquired by the University for agricultural and veterinary medical research.Degree received: Doctor of Laws
Mr. McFaull has frequently advanced the opinion that research at the U of S improves the economy of the city and the province, and he is playing a leading role in efforts to establish a research and development corporation through which individuals and companies could contribute money to research and obtain tax relief when they did so.
He sits on the advisory board of Innovation Place, the Saskatoon Research Park, has been active in the Saskatoon Board of Trade and the Saskachimo Exposition, and has participated in many church and community activities.
As an estate planning consultant with ManuLife, he has specialized in the transfer of family farms and has been one of the company’s top producers in Canada for a number of years. Last year, he was the company’s leading salesman in Western Canada.
