Reproduction of Photographic Materials
The Archives will reproduce photographs for the purpose of research. Researchers are advised that it is their responsibility to obtain copyright permission to publish or otherwise reproduce or distribute archival material. Whenever possible, the archivist will provide the name and address of holders of copyright. However, responsibility regarding questions of copyright that may arise in the use of any images is assumed by the researcher.
If a researcher wishes to have a print made of an image that has no negative, a 4x5 copy negative will be created. The cost of the negative will be charged to the researcher, in addition to the cost of the print. The Archives will keep the negative. The pictrostat process, which requires no negative, is also available, but the longevity of prints made this way is currently unknown.
The Archives may provide a digital copy of an image if a print in sufficiently good physical condition is available. The Archives can make no guarantees about the quality of the scan, and is unable to make any enhancements or adjustments to brightness, contrast, etc. Where possible, the Archives will undertake to provide the digital image in the format requested by the researcher, but this will be limited by the software used by Archives at the time. The terms governing use, reproduction and publication of photographs provided in a digital format are the same as for photographs provided in any other format.
The Archives reserves the right to refuse any form of copying which may damage the archival image.

Pre-payment or a deposit may be required before an order can be filled.

Charges (all prices subject to change without notice)
The federal Goods and Services Tax will be applied to all Canadian orders, with the exception of orders charged to University of Saskatchewan departmental or research accounts.
