How do you I sell my used textbooks?
The main campus Bookstore in Marquis Hall buys back used textbooks in-store on a year-round basis. Simply bring your book into the store and an associate will be able to search the title to see if we are buying the book and let you know the value of your used text.
Buyback of used textbooks is determined based on a number of factors:
- Nationwide demand for the textbook
- Whether the Instructor is reusing the text in the next term
- Projected needs for the text
To see if your textbook is eligible for buyback use our buyback search directory.
Can't find your book in our buyback directory?
To provide you with more options to sell your used books, the Bookstore also purchases books year-round for ICBB (Inter-Collegiate Book Buyback). The ICBB is a national association of campus bookstores that provides members the opportunities to purchase used books from other bookstores across the country. Through our association with ICBB we can expand the number of used titles we are buying back, meaning a better opportunity for you to get the best price for your used book.
To search the ICBB used book database, try downloading our free used book app for ios and android users. Users can scan the textbooks barcode or search by title and ISBN for a comprehensive list of all available titles and value of your book through ICBB.
When is the best time to sell my books?
We have the highest volume of text buybacks before and during the beginning of each new term: August-September, December-January and April. During these high-volume times, the Bookstore will set up a secondary Buyback location in Upper Place where students can bring their books. We do a large buyback before and during the beginning of each new term. Check back for the 2014 buyback dates.
