Specific program admission requirements for different graduate programs may be higher than the College’s posted minimum. If you require English training, please check the University Language Centre for courses.

Find a Program

The University of Saskatchewan (UofS) offers many different graduate programs and postdoctoral opportunities. To search for a program in your area see Find a Program.

You are encouraged to review the research groups and individual research areas of the faculty and researchers associated with each program. Follow these three easy steps:

  1. Select the link to the Website of your chosen program and look for “research areas”, “research groups” or “our faculty” listings;
  2. Review the information provided and select your preferred two or three faculty researchers, and
  3. Contact the professor, the graduate chair, or research lab directly prior to applying to get additional information and to see if graduate or postdoctoral placements are available.

Application deadlines for graduate programs can vary by program. We recommend you apply early, often 8 to 12 months before you plan to attend for a PhD program. Less time, 3 to 6 months, is typically needed for sandwich / joint students or postdoctoral applicants.
