Admissions Requirements
- A four-year honors degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, OR,
- A three-year first cycle undergraduate degree, in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, from a European intuition that meets the criteria set forth in the Bologna Declaration, will be acceptable as the equivalent of an undergraduate honours degree.
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. 60 credit units).
- Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
- A Master's degree, or equivalent, from a recognized university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study; under no circumstances may a prospective student holding a Bachelor's degree be admitted directly into a Ph.D. program.
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in the last two years of study (i.e. coursework required in Master's program).
- Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
- A four-year honors degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study.
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 65% (U of S grade system equivalent) in each of the final two years (i.e. 60 credit units) of the undergraduate program.
- A four-year honours degree, or the equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study or from a professional college with specialization in some subject or discipline comparable to that required for an Honours BA/BSc from this University.
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 65% (U of S grade system equivalent) in each of the final two years (i.e. 60 credit units)of the undergraduate program, or equivalent at the graduate level.
- Admission on a non-degree basis does not ensure admission to a graduate program at a later date.
Joint Student Program
- If applying at the masters level, a four-year honours degree or the equivalent from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, OR
- If applying at the doctoral level, a master's degree, or the equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study.
- A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (U of S grade system equivalent) in each of the final two years (i.e. 60 credit units)of the undergraduate program, or equivalent at the graduate level.
- Currently registered in either a master's or a doctoral program at another university.
