Granting Distribution

The following statment is included in the thesis to allow the University of Saskatchewn to make the thesis accessible:

'I hereby grant to University of Saskatchewan and/or its agents the non-exclusive license to archive and make accessible, under the conditions specified below, my thesis, dissertation, or project report in whole or in part in all forms of media, now or for the duration of my copyright ownership. I retain all other ownership rights to the copyright of the thesis, dissertation or project report. I also reserve the right to use in future works (such as articles or books) all or part of this thesis, dissertation, or project report.

I hereby certify that, if appropriate, I have obtained and attached hereto a written permission statement from the owner(s) of each third party copyrighted matter that is included in my thesis, dissertation, or project report, allowing distribution as specified below. I certify that the version I submitted is the same as that approved by my advisory committee.'

This will grant permission to the University to make available the thesis/dissertation in various media versions - including ETD web access.

The College of Graduate Studies and Research will withhold distribution of a printed thesis for one year under special circumstances. One can also limit the availability of the Web version of your thesis when it is submitted. However, there are more options available with the electronic version. The options are:

  1. Release the entire work immediately for access worldwide.
  2. Release the entire work for campus access only.
  3. Secure the entire work for one calendar year for patent and/or proprietary purposes.
  4. Release the entire work for campus access only, while at the same time releasing parts of the work for worldwide access. Parts of the work may also be completely withheld from access.(You will be asked at a later point to specify the availability of each file you submit.
