    The Opportunity:
    If you are a current or prospective graduate student and want to develop a broad understanding of infectious disease mitigation and food safety please apply to the Integrated Training Program in Infectious Diseases, Food Safety and Public Policy (ITraP-IDFP).

    The Project: 

    Infectious disease outbreaks and food safety issues can lead to significant financial and societal costs.  The world needs more scientists, health-care professionals and policy specialists who can develop and implement effective policies to ensure health and food safety.  ITraP-IDFP is an exciting initiative that offers new opportunities to existing graduate students who are interested in an interdisciplinary approach to health and food safety.

    The program consists of two academic courses (one case-based and one seminar series), a week-long international summer school and an externship with a government, industry or academic insitution.

    Qualifications:
    Applicants should have a strong background in areas such as microbiology, vaccinology, epidemiology, immunology, pharmacology, public health, environmental studies or public policy.

    Starting Date: January 2014.

    Stipend: Possibility of a scholarship in the form of a monthly stipend
