    The Opportunity:
    Domestic Animal Models for Human Disease” [Joint position available with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Medicine (Department of Medical Imaging).

    The Project: 

    Develop and conduct research related to the use of spontaneous animal models of cancer for nuclear and molecular imaging and radiotherapeutics. Will assist in the coordination and daily operation of a research program, including the research activities of graduate (both M.S. and Ph.D.) students, technicians and collaborators; be involved in various grant-related activities, and preparation of research reports and manuscripts for publication.

    Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in one of the following areas: nuclear and other imaging, image processing, engineering, biomedical sciences, organ physiology, cell molecular biology, expertise in data interpretation and publication of results in the scientific literature; and strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with grantsmanship, manuscript preparation, teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students, and a demonstrated ability to work independently and with other investigators, support personnel, and students in a collaborative research environment.

    Starting Date: January-December, 2014.

    Stipend: $31,500
