Interdisciplinary University Graduate Scholarships

The Interdisciplinary Program currently belongs to the devolved fund program administered by the College of Graduate Studies and Research. The InterD UGSs are awarded by the Interdisciplinary Committee. Students must apply by March 31 on the Scholarship Application Form.  Students not already in the Interdisciplinary program must have applied and had their application accepted by the Interdisciplinary Committee to be eligible to apply for a scholarship.

Applications are considered by the InterD Committee at their monthly meetings. To be assured that their application will be considered in time, potential students should have their applications in for the February meeting (applications must be submitted one week before the date of the meeting). 

Graduate Teaching Assistantships 

Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) are available to fully-qualified, full-time students. Check the CGSR Awards database for further details on the hours of work, assignment of duties and rates of pay. New and continuing students should inform the Chair of the InterD Committee in writing as early as possible if they wish to be considered for a GTA. Them must include full information and documentation on their ability to carry out the required service.

Graduate Teaching Fellowships

Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTF) are available to fully-qualified, full-time students who have a GPA of at least 80% in the last two years of study. You must have the required knowledge and training to provide the service required - leading tutorials, teaching, marking, etc. Check the CGSR Awards database for further details on the hours of work, assignment of duties and funding levels. New and continuing students should inform the Chair of the InterD Committee in writing as early as possible if they wish to be considered for a GTA. Them must include full information and documentation on their ability to carry out the required service.
