Administers internal awards and external awards for Canadian students and International students. There are special agreement opportunities for funding for students from China and from Vietnam. The College also maintains a database of external awards that have been endowed to the University of Saskatchewan. You are encouraged to check the funding pages on the CGSR website.
Tri-Council Awards for Canadian Students
Tri-Council student scholarships are awarded by Canada’s three research-granting agencies, the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). For U of S students, the application process, nomination of candidates and administration of the awards is through the College of Graduate Studies and Research (CGSR). For students who are enrolled in other universities, please check the CIHR, NSERC or SSHRC websites for specific details on the application process.
