Vice president Zhang Yalin met with the delegation from USASK guests in International Exchange Center on June 11th. The partnership with NWAFU has been growing since the signing of memorandum of cooperation in 2009, with delegations assigned to visit each other respectively. The USASK delegation was led by the College of Graduate Studies and Research, and included Dr. Peta Bonham-Smith, Dr. Baljit Singh, Dr. Hong Wong, Danny Freire and Penny Skilnik.

Dr. Bingcheng Si, a professor in Soil Science at USASK, has been working with NWAFU since 2012 as an expert enlisted in the China  “Thousands Talent Plan”. Both sides hoped that cooperation between professors would act as the bridging platform for the communication between NWAFU and USASK

This week, a group of 15 students and teachers from NWAFU arrived to spend a three week summer internship at USASK in July and August. Their time will be spent attending academic English classes and discipline specific workshops, as well as some cultural activities to help them become more informed about Canada and the Province of Saskatchewan.
