Call for nominations – 2013 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships
The
Graduate Awards office invites departments/units/schools to nominate their TOP DOCTORAL CANDIDATES for the 2013 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship
Program by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
October 9, 2012. Each scholarship
is worth $50,000 annually for up to three (3) years.
Departments will set their own internal
deadlines for student applications in advance of the October 9th
College of Graduate Studies and Research deadline. Students and faculty should
check with their Graduate Chair about the internal deadline and the unit’s
application process.
By 4:30 p.m. Tuesday October 9, 2012, units must submit the following electronically to gradstudies.awards@usask.ca:
- A list of the department nominations with the Department name, student name(s), and student number(s),
- A nomination letter must accompany your list. The Dean of Graduate Studies will be signing off on the letter after the awards committee has selected the candidates to go forward into the Vanier selection process. The letter should be written by someone who knows the student’s work very well as it must address the points listed on the Vanier website: http://www.vanier.gc.ca/eng/nomination_letters-lettres_de_mise_en_candidature.aspx.
The SELECTION
CRITERIA used by the CGSR Vanier Selection Committee will be based
on that of the National Vanier Canada Selection Committee.

Net until 4:30 Tuesday October 9, 2012, BUT; the
departmental nomination must also be received by this date/time.
