Find a program and contact the department
Your first step is to identify and contact the department in which you hope to study – it is best to contact the Graduate Chair of the program.
When contacting the department, you should also make sure your
academic goals and qualifications are compatible with the department’s
expectations.
Department staff will also advise if there is a professor that matches your research interests.
Some departments at the University of Saskatchewan require
additional information that is not included on the on-line application
form – please contact them directly.
Not sure what program you want to take?
See our list of programs.
The College of Graduate Studies and Research does not require students to have an educational agent to gain admission, usually students apply for themselves. However, if you wish to use an education agent please contact grad.applications@usask.ca for the list of approved agents for your country.

and is not refundable. Final decisions by the Graduate College will not
be approved until the application fee is submitted.
- Departments may accept paper applications if you are unable to apply online. Contact the department to obtain a paper application or download the GSR 100 Application Form located on our forms page.
- On-line applications must complete several stages of computer processing after they are sent to the university. Your acknowledgement e-mail will not arrive until two business days have passed. Decisions about applications are made at the department level. This process often takes several weeks, depending on the department and the time of year the application is received. You will be notified by mail when a decision has been made.
