The Project:
The overall objective of our research is to accurately assess the fertility of bulls - currently there is no accurate test for a bull’s fertility. We will use the CLS to determine the lipid and protein characteristics of sperm membranes. We anticipate that this will provide further information on the relationship of the sperm membrane proteins and their specific annular lipids as well as provide some insight into sperm function and damage that is not measureable by technologies utilized to date.
