The Opportunity:
If you have a PhD in a health-related field and want to pursue an MBA as your next step to a career supporting innovation in Canada, consider the Science to Business grant!

The Project:
We are pleased to announce that the Edwards MBA has one CIHR grant to be awarded under the "Science to Business" program for the 2010/2011 academic year. With this we are able to offer one fully funded position in the MBA program within the biotechnology Management/Health specialization.

Qualifications:
To be eligible for the position, the successful candidate must:

• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Have received a PhD within the past seven years in a health-related field
• Have some entrepreneurial experience (e.g. business, policy, management, industry engagement, commercialization, innovation.)
• Enroll in the bioTechnolgy Management elective courses in the Edwards MBA program
• Submit an additional page with their MBA application demonstrating how the MBA will advance the long-term goal of the CIHR "Science to Business Program"
• Meet all Edwards MBA Requirements

Stipend:
The funded position will include full tuition plus a stipend of $20,000.

How to Apply:
Simply Complete the Online Application Form at the College of Graduate Studies and Research website. There is a $75.00 application fee (in Canadian funds). This is a non-refundable fee. This can be paid with a credit card when you are completing the form. Once we have received your application and fee our office will be in contact with you to let you know the next steps in your application process
