The Project:
Main research projects include: understanding biofilm formation and transmission of Salmonella, and the development of vaccines against these important human pathogens. Students will be trained in standard microbiological techniques (isolation and culture) along with microbial genetics, physiology and molecular biology. In addition, students will be exposed to new technologies, such as next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics and molecular epidemiology.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. (microbiology, biochemistry preferred)
Starting Date: Immediately
Stipend: $18,500
