Dr. Marie-Jocelyne Martel named 2004 CPL
Teacher of the Year

The second annual presentation of this award from the Division of Continuing Professional Learning in conjunction with the College of Medicine was made to Dr. Marie-Jocelyne Martel from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on Wednesday, May 11, 2005. The presentation took place at the General Academic Assembly for the College of Medicine.

Dr. Martel has been very supportive to Continuing Professional Learning for many years. Her nomination was supported by the fact that she contributes positively to continuing learning and interprofessional learning. She is highly rated at conferences by both physicians and nurses. She presents knowledge in an organized and articulate way, engages the learner through case-based learning approaches, is interactive with learners, encourages critical thinking and is approachable.
