IX. Miscellaneous

Comments:

The Mental Health Center has codes to deal with

disruptive patients. When a code is called the

receptionist calls the RCMP. There are regular fire drills.

There are general staff meetings on a bi-monthly basis.

Repeat prescriptions are dealt with through a telephone

order to the pharmacist and it is documented on the

medication sheet.

Patient confidentiality is respected. Copies of patient

files are sent out while the originals are retained.

Reference materials are available to both patients and

doctors. Recent medical literature is available through

a library in the outpatient department of the Small Town

Mental Health Center.
