Rachelle Smith of the College of Nursing and her daughter Cassandra will be launching their third children’s book aimed at raising awareness about juvenile diabetes Nov. 21 at 1:30 pm at McNally Robinson Booksellers. Proceeds from the sale of the book, called Katie Goes to Camp, go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The music of Mozart, Richter, Beethoven, Schumann and Prokofiev will be performed by U of S students Kristina Carlson, Emily Ewen, Jeffrey Folster, Melissa Gan, Ryan Goetz, Jenny Ko, Jerraie Matsalla, and Danielle Schmidt Dec. 2 at 7:30 pm in Convocation Hall. Admission is free.
Reckless, a play written by Craig Lucas and directed by Pamela Haig Bartley will have its preview performance Nov. 18 by Greystone Theatre and will run Nov. 19-28. Tickets are available at the Place Riel kiosk or from the theatre box office. Call 966-5188.
The Ecumenical Chaplaincy (Anglican, Presbyterian, United) is presenting Nellie McClung: A One ‘Person’ Play Nov. 20 and 21 at 7:30 pm in St. Thomas More College auditorium to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Persons Case. Tickets are available at the USSU Kiosk and McNally Robinson Booksellers.
The Elixir Ensemble will present a concert entitled Rollin’ Across the World Nov. 13 at 7:30 pm in Convocation Hall. The concert will feature work by Neil Currie, Shostakovich, Dvorak and Piazzola. Tickets available at McNally Robinson Booksellers, Place Riel kiosk and at the door.

In the main level gallery is Alison Norlen: Glimmer, imagery borrowed from her private photos and mementos, vintage postcards and found treasures. In the lower gallery is Reconstruction, work by Bruce Montcombroux that explores invention and fabrication.
The U of S Greystone Singers, the University and Community Chorus and guest artists the U of S Amati Quartet in Residence will perform together Nov. 29 at 3 pm at Third Avenue United Church. Tickets are available at McNally Robinson Booksellers, the Dept. of Music or at the door.
The Sitter, portrait photography from 1800 to the 1990s from the University of Saskatchewan Art Collection, is on view.
The U of S Concert Band will present An Evening with the Masters, a variety of concert band music from Beethoven to John Phillip Sousa and opera to Les Miserables, on Dec. 4 at 7:30 pm in Quance Theatre, Education Building. Admission is by silver collection at the door.
Sex? In the City: Images of Sexuality in Roman Domestic Space, reproductions of Pompeiian wall paintings and other artifacts that explore the social and religious aspects of sexual imagery in Roman home décor, is currently on view.
