Your student card acts as your meal card, residence room key, library card, fitness pass, and is used for setting up your University Computer account. Your card is swiped at the till for all your meals. You must present you meal card for all meals at Marquis Hall at any of the Retail Outlets.
In the event that your card is lost or stolen please inform Food Services immediately and fill out a Lost Card Form. Items that are charged to your account before your card is reported lost will not be refunded. Replacement cards can be acquired at the Card Office. You may use photo ID to obtain meals on three seperate days during the academic year. After those three days you will be required to pay cash for each meal. If you pay cash a reciept will be issued, signed and dated. Once your new card has been obtained you may be reimbursed for your meals as long as you bring the reciept to the cashiers at Marquis Hall. You may activate three new cards for your meal plan after which there is a $10 activation fee at culinary services.
It is up to you to care for your card properly. Cards should be stored in a wallet, away from a magnetic clasp, and away from vinyl windows. Things like storing your card in your hip pocket, using your card to scrape ice from your window, and punching holes in your card will shorten the life span of your card. Please see the Card Office website for more information.
** reminder that you must bring picture ID to get a new card (drivers license or passport), and that damaged cards must be handed into the card office.
Deciding that you do not like your picture on your student card is not a reason for replacing the card for free. New pictures are always subject to the 20.00 replacement fee.
** note your student card is designed for services on campus and has no affiliation (other than the city transit) for off campus services or student verification.
