Faculty and Staff may apply at Parking and Transportation Services at any time. All stalls are assigned on a seniority basis. All faculty and staff lots are reserved lots, which means you require a permit for the lot you have been assigned. Please note that some lots require several years of seniority. If a staff member receives a stall, he/she may choose to stay on the waiting list for a more preferred lot.
We have two types of Faculty/Staff parking lots: Reserved-Stall and Scramble-Lot parking. Parking lots with Reserved Stalls are enforced on a complaint-onlybasis . This means that if someone is parked in your stall, you are required to report this to Parking and Transportation Services (966 4502). You may then park at a meter or other specified area until your stall is clear at no cost. The violator will be issued a ticket. Parking lots that are Scramble Parking are enforced automatically. Any vehicle parked without a valid permit may be issued a ticket. In many lots that are gated, entry and exit is controlled and therefore illegal parking is not likely except in designated stalls.
Faculty/staff permits also are also valid for any faculty/staff lot after 1700 hours, however the permit must be properly displayed on the vehicle in order to be valid. Gated lots may be accessed during evening and weekend hours by contacting the Parking Office at 966-4509.
All staff and faculty are required to pay for their parking by payroll deduction.
Faculty & Staff who want a Stadium Parkade permit have two payment options:
1. Pay in advance by debit, cash, Visa or Mastercard, desired number of months.
2. Pre-authorized debit (Must be purchased annually ONLY) Conditions will apply. See Parking and Transportation office at 72 Campus Drive or call 966 4509 for further information.
Night permits are also available for those who do not have a valid day permit. This will allow parking after 5 pm in all staff and faculty lots, and all non gated lots, however permits must be properly displayed.
Sessional Lecturers may also purchase (on a part time basis) parking by contacting the office of Donna Boots 249-2558.
Carpooling:
Please remember that Parking and Transportation Services encourages car pooling as a sustainability issue. In order to register for carpooling, please go to www.carpool.ca. We believe that a number of faculty, staff and students are already sharing parking spaces and vehicles and our system is designed to accommodate this by allowing multi users of an AVI or permit. For more information, please contact Parking and Transportation Services.
