Creative Commons

Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative work available for others legally to build upon and share. Copyright owners provide users with varying degrees of access to their works (i.e. the author of a book can put it online under a Creative Commons licence that allows users the freedom to copy all or part of that book).  The organization has released several copyright licences known as Creative Commons licences. These licences, depending on the one chosen, restrict only certain rights (or none) of the work.
