Physical Therapy Professional Organizations in Saskatchewan
In Saskatchewan there are three primary physical therapy organizations:
- The School of Physical Therapy, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan - the university educational program that trains physical therapists;
- The Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists - the regulatory body which licenses graduate physical therapists and ensures they meet required standards of practice; and
- The Saskatchewan Physiotherapy Association - the professional association which works on behalf of member therapists to promote the profession.
These three organizations have established a "Tri-Organizational Executive Committee" which meets on at least an annual basis to share information, discuss upcoming trends within the profession and collaborate on projects or events when possible.
