Hospital Dental Department at Royal University Hospital

    The College of Dentistry is responsible for the operation of a General Practice Residency (GPR) Program at the Hospital Dental Department in Royal University Hospital (RUH). The GPR Program is a one year training program aimed at providing dentists with a broad multidisciplinary approach to the clinical practice of Dentistry. The program operates a dental clinic in RUH that provides treatment to pediatric and adult dental emergency patients, hospital inpatients (24/7 on call service to manage infection and trauma), and long term care facility residents from Parkridge Centre & Sherbrooke Community Centre.

    The GPR Program Division of Hospital Dentistry accepts patient referrals from physicians, community dentists, and dental specialists.

    Fees and Payment Information

    The GPR Program Division of Hospital Dentistry follows the fee guide provided by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. All dental insurances and payment methods are accepted.

    Location and Parking

    The GPR Program Division of Hospital Dentistry is located at Room 1860 – 103 Hospital Drive in G wing on the main floor of the old part of the hospital. It can be accessed through the old main entrance to Royal University Hospital and is located immediately adjacent to the post office in the hospital.

    Parking is available either on the University of Saskatchewan campus public parking lots or in the main parkade at Royal University Hospital. Hours of Operation Office hours are from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
