Objectives
Welcome to the online training module for the University’s Positive Space Program. This training was developed for students and employees who want to join the Positive Space Program, but prefer to complete the required training online as opposed to attending an in-person session.
The purpose of this training module is to provide participants with an understanding of the Positive Space Program and increase their awareness of sexual and gender diversity.
Format
The online training contains the following three sections:
At the end of each section there is a brief self-evaluation that provides you with immediate feedback on your responses.
Becoming a Member of the Positive Space Program
Everyone is welcome to take the online training, but only employees and students of the University of Saskatchewan are eligible to join the the Positive Space Program. U of S students and employees who complete all three sections will be given an opportunity to become a member of the program and order printed material that they can display in their area.
Getting Started
To begin the training module you will need to create a user name and password of your choice and use these to log on. You will have to remember this information if you plan on using more than one session to complete the training. If you are a U of S student or employee, please DO NOT use your University NSID and password.
Although you will automatically be positioned at the beginning of Section One after you log on, the sections do not need to be completed in order. For instance, you could use the navigation tool bar (located in the left hand margin under "Online Training") to begin with section two.
Using More than One Session to Complete the Training
What do I do if I am in the middle of reading a section and don’t have time to finish it? If you are unable to finish reading a section and want to return later:
How can I save the work I have done if I have to leave? Your quiz responses will automatically be saved as long as you complete the entire quiz before leaving the web site. For example, if you finish section one (including the quiz) and want to return to work on another section later:
