First Aid
First aid requirements for the University of Saskatchewan are based on the Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour (MAEEL) Occupational Health and Safety Act 1993 and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996.
The requirements for first aid are dependent on the nature of the work being performed, the number of employees in the workplace and the proximity to medical services. To ensure best practices in health and safety, consistency across colleges and divisions and compliance with applicable legislation, WSEP has established minimum requirements for first aid supplies and training for the University of Saskatchewan.
Please contact WSEP at 966-8493 for assistance in determining your specific requirements for first aid training and supplies.
First Aid Training
No matter where you work or what you do, it pays to have first aid skills. First aid training increases safety awareness and provides essential life-saving techniques and skills that could save your life or the life of someone that you work with or love. Knowing what to do when an emergency occurs could mean the difference between life and death.
