Mission Statement:
Workplace Safety and Environmental Protection provides leadership and quality services for the creation and maintenance of a healthy and safe environment to complement the University’s mandate for excellence in teaching and research.
Vision Statement:
We envision a University where outstanding performance in health, safety and environmental protection is a core value and is integrated into planning, operations and corporate governance through the Workplace Responsibility System. The WSEP team works in partnership with the University community to create a place of work, learning and research that is free of anticipated and recognizable hazards and preventable incidents. WSEP is a valuable resource providing information and training, safety and advisory services, and assistance to the University community in meeting regulatory compliance. We encourage and support the use of best practices in achieving the University's health, safety and environmental goals.
