Join us on Sunday October 29th, November 5th, November 12th, and Monday November 13th at the Diefenbaker Canada Centre for a free interactive family activity as we commemorate Canada’s role in the Great War.

Medal - Trench Art Craft

Just in time for Remeberance Day, the Diefenbaker Centre is offering two family activities centering around the Great War. 

Remember Vimy – Monumental Memories

Beginning at 2:00 pm, DCC docents will tour participants through Vimy: Battle. Memorial. Icon. A travelling exhibition from the Canadian War Museum, visitors will then have the opportunity to craft their own version of a war monument.

The Great War – Trench Art

At 3:00 pm, we will offer a tour of our in-house produced exhibit, Deo et Patriae – For God and Country: The University of Saskatchewan and The Great War. A hands-on artifacts experience and an interactive trench art activity will conclude the program.
