Older Workers in Agriculture
Project
A joint initiative of provincial and federal governments,
this project ran from 2001-2003 and provided skill upgrading
and career counselling for farmers between the ages of
55 to 64 in the North East region of Saskatchewan. In
order to have 40 participants to meet the federal guidelines,
the age range was extended to 50-64 and participants
from outside the region were accepted. One-on-one contact
was the main key to success. The project is over now
and Dorothy is no longer working for the college.
