Kristy Galbraith is currently a grade seven teacher at Dr. A.E. Perry School (Regina Public Schools) in Regina.
Erik Van Dusen is currently a grade eight teacher at Dr. A.E. Perry School (Regina Public Schools) in Regina.
As recipients of the Kirkpatrick Travel Award, both Kristy and Erik will travel to Providence, Rhode Island to visit the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center High School. The “Met” is a public school made of two campuses, holding six schools. The work at the Met is directly related to the work at Dr. A.E. Perry School, giving a vision for Inquiry-based teaching and learning.
The Kirkpatrick Travel Award is administered jointly by the University of Saskatchewan College of Education, the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association, and The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation. The annual award celebrates the contribution the late Dean Emeritus Balfour Kirkpatrick made to education in Saskatchewan.
