Instructions for Using The Shell Web Sites

Netscape Communicator:
Click on the picture or the text link of the site you want to use. You will be taken to the home page for the site. There are two ways to download the page and graphics.
#1 Make sure you have created a directory(folder) to store the files before you start. Go to the Home Page. Choose Save from the File menu (choose Source, not Text from the pull-down menu). This will save the page to your disk. For each graphic on the page: click and hold down the mouse (Macintosh) or right click the mouse (Windows) until you have all the graphics saved. Go to each page in the site, save each page and copy any extra buttons you didn't get on the home page.

#2 Make sure you have created a directory(folder) to store the files before you start. Go to the Home Page. Copy the URL from the box at the top. Choose Open Location in Composer from the File Menu. Paste the URL in the box that appears. Save the file from Composer and all the graphics will be downloaded along with the file. Do the same thing for each page in the site.

If you have a program like Web Buddy or Web Whacker, you can use those programs to download the whole site at once.

Once you go to the shell sites, you can't get back to this web site again (there are no links back) Use the Back button in your browser to come back here.
