The banquet will be held on Tuesday evening in the Galaxy Ballroom.
Your banquet ticket is included in your registration fee.
Additional tickets may be purchased for spouses, partners or friends on Tuesday at the registration desk ($35). Dress for the banquet is informal

Dr. Jim Jutras
Dr. Jim Jutras has enjoyed a long and varied career in education. Jim served Saskatoon Public Schools for 34 years as an elementary and secondary teacher, instructional consultant, principal, coordinator of curriculum and instruction, superintendent, and deputy director. He completed his career with Saskatoon Public as the Director of Education from 2004-2008. Jim takes great pride in being a member of the leadership team that initiated two system-wide learning improvement initiatives, Literacy for Life in 2004 and Collegiate Renewal in 2007. He was awarded the LEADS Distinguished Service Award in 2008 and was honoured with the name “Chante Waste Itoncha” (good-hearted leader) by the Okiciyapi partners and Saskatoon Public’s First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Unit.
Jim is currently an adjunct professor in Educational Administration and has taught courses in the large-scale improvement of student learning, instructional leadership, school and organizational improvement, professional development, and curriculum studies. He has served as a consultant to school divisions regarding leadership for learning, learning improvement initiatives, agreements with First Nations, and administrative procedures, and has also served the Horizon School Division in the temporary role of superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
Jim has addressed many conferences including a World Conference on Teacher Education at Mumbai, India, the Canadian Association of Principals’ Annual Conference, the Canadian School Boards’ Congress, the Alberta School Boards Association Annual Conference, and the LEADS Annual Policy Conference.
Jim earned his M. Ed. in Curriculum Studies from the University of Saskatchewan and a Ph. D. in Education from the University of Oregon. He has maintained a strong interest in learning and assessment models, teachers’ professional development, the large-scale improvement of learning, and leadership that makes a positive difference in students’ learning.
