The Instructional Development Centre (EDUC 3139) exists to provide faculty, graduate students and students of the ITEP program of the College of Education with the opportunity to create electronic supports for instruction, including static media, electronic presentations and multimedia.
The IDC has 5 computer stations: 2 Macintosh, 2 Vista and 1 Windows XP. Peripheral equipment includes 5 flatbed scanners including two with document feeders.
There are two laser printers, one black and white and one colour. If you have funds in your CPAS account, you may print to these printers if you log into the computers using your NSID and password. If you wish to print from your office, and have funds in your CPAS account, ask to have these printers added to your computer's print cue.
Access to use the centre is restricted to faculty of the college of education, ITEP students, and graduate students working on projects approved by the College of Education.
The centre is open from 8:30am to 10:00 pm.
Users of the Instructional Design Centre must be working on legitimate projects approved by the College of Education.
User's files are to be kept on their own storage medium (memory sticks, etc.), not on the hard drives of the computers in the centre. Hard drive space on the computers is reserved for application programs. Files kept on the computer's hard drive are subject to periodic purging.
