ITEP Student Application

Procedures to apply to Indian Teacher Education Program:

Admission Requirements
Submit On-Campus application before May 1st directly to the ITEP office.
Submit Off-Campus application before July 1st directly to the ITEP office.
We will only consider applications that are fully complete. The checklist for a completed application is as follows:
  1. Completed ITEP Application Form
  2. Official High School Transcripts sent directly to the ITEP office.
  3. Official Post-Secondary Transcripts (if applicable) sent directly to the ITEP office.

** note** Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check are required by school divisions before being placed in a school.

2. Official transcripts - official transcripts are sent directly from the Ministry of Education to the Indian Teacher Education Program with the office address below:

** if you are a current or former U of S student you will not need to submit official U of S transcripts**

** if applicable, transcripts from post-secondary institutions other than the U of S must be sent directly to the Indian Teacher Education Program with the office address below. **

If accepted by ITEP:


An acceptance letter will be sent in late May to successful applicants.

Included in the letter is:

  • Request of $90.00 application fee (non-refundable). Send the fee directly to the ITEP office immediately.
  • Attend the mandatory registration seminar in July. At this session the students will register for fall and winter classes (Term One and Term Two). This information is included in the acceptance letter.

If you have applied for admission on-line at the university website, contact the ITEP office immediately.  Otherwise we might not receive your name or application.
