Aurora College - Thebacha Campus - Fort Smith, NT

Battleford Agency Tribal Chiefs - (Began Sept. 2011)

  • BATC is in its 1st year of programming in the city of North Battleford at the Don Ross Centre.  The teacher training program attracts First Nations students from seven First Nation communities surrounding North Battleford.

Big River First Nation - Fourth Year of Program

  • The Big River program began in 2009/2010 on the Big River First Nation.  Students reside in Ahtahkakoop, Big River, Pelican Lake and Witchekan Lake.

Canoe Lake Cree Nation - (Began Sept. 2011)

  • Canoe Lake is a new program which began this year on Canoe Lake Cree Nation.  The teacher candidates are residence of the First Nation.

Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation - Fourth Year of Program

  • Located at Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, the program began in September 2009.

Onion Lake Cree Nation - Fourth Year of Program

  • Onion Lake is a one of kind program.  The program prepares teacher candidates to teach at the Onion Lake Cree immersion program. The students take a series of Cree language courses, as well as Ed Ind (EInd) courses.
