Jay’s educational background includes a B.A. (History), B.Ed. (Elementary
Education) and a M.Ed. (Educational Communications and Technology) from the
University of Saskatchewan. He also has a Diploma in Broadcast Communications
from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. Jay’s doctorate is from
the University of Southern Queensland in Australia.
Jay has worked in pre-service teacher education for many years. He has extensive
practical experience in the area of technology and its application to teaching
and instruction. He is also skilled in the areas of multimedia production, application
of video in education and delivery of professional development.
His research interests centre on technology skill development in educators,
developing quality e-learning experiences and studying the social impacts of
technology.
