Since 1994, I have received well over $1,000,000.00 in research and project grants alone and with others. Most recently, Professor Heavin, Clarke and I received $100,000 from SSHRC to study the concept of Best interest of the Child and in 2008 Dr. Ralph and I received $100,000 to disseminate a promising mentorship model (adaptive mentorship). In (2005), my colleagues, Drs. In 2003, Dr. Lynn Bosetti and I were awarded a New Initiatives in the Economy grant by the Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada (SSHRC) to study the narrative responses of educational leaders to the new economy ($145,000 award). The same year Dr. Brian Noonan, Department Educational Psychology and Special Education were awarded a SSHRC grant to study the Trust-brokering and Moral Agency of School Principals ($87,000). I am principal investigator for these grants.
