Dr. Michelle Prytula serves as dean of the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan, while remaining an active and contributing faculty member in the Department of Educational Administration. Prior to her appointment into the faculty, Dr. Prytula held teaching, vice-principal, and principal positions in Saskatoon. Dr. Prytula continues to teach in the areas of educational finance, leadership, organizational theory, and action research, and continues to supervise graduate students at both the Masters and PhD levels. She has received several research grants for her work in professional learning communities, and a national SSHRC grant for her work in teacher induction.  She was awarded the McDowell Foundation Award for Research into Teaching in 2010 and again 2013, and the Advancing Professional Learning Award from International Learning Forward in 2012. In addition to her work as dean and faculty, Dr. Prytula is frequently invited to keynote in the areas of school and organizational leadership.
