Profile

Dr Vicki Squires is an Assistant Professor and Graduate Chair in the Department of Educational Administration. Prior to becoming a faculty member, Vicki served as a special education teacher, classroom teacher, and vice principal in Saskatchewan Rivers School Division and Saskatoon Public Schools. After completing her doctoral studies, she worked in Student and Enrolment Services Division (SESD) at the University of Saskatchewan, as the Manager of Planning, Program Development, and Assessment. In that capacity, she worked with senior leadership, managers and staff of SESD to facilitate the development of an integrated plan that outlined priorities, and to design assessment methods to determine their progress in implementing those strategies. Because of her experience in administration in K – 12 schools and in a post-secondary setting, Vicki’s research interests include leadership, organizational theory including organizational change and development, strategic planning, and assessment and evaluation and post-secondary education. She has presented at several national conferences on the role of assessment in Student Affairs, and on policy development in post-secondary settings.
