Expectations for Pre-internship Field Study

Bachelor of Education Sequential Program

EDST 103 - Connected to ECUR 200, no application necessary

November Full-time Week:

Focus primarily on PGP Goal one.

Team-teach two or three lessons in the same class.

Plan, teach, and write reflections with the cooperating teacher or peer colleague.

Elicit feedback from a peer coach or cooperating teacher and record examples of "evidence" and "reflections" on your lessons in the PGP goal sheets.

Make an opportunity to observe in an unfamiliar teaching area. Complete coursework assignments in your partner school

March Full-time Week:

Focus primarily on Goal one, two, and three as outlined in the PGP.

Plan and implement a series of three to five sequential lessons to a large group (same class).

Prepare lesson plans which include a section on assessment.

These lessons may be planned and/or taught individually or with the cooperating teacher or colleague.

Elicit feedback from a peer coach or cooperating teacher and record examples of "evidence" and "reflections" on your lessons in the PGP goal sheets.

If possible, continue to take opportunities to observe in unfamiliar teaching areas.

Complete coursework assignments in your partner school.
