Field experiences are an integral part of the education program at the University of Saskatchewan, and will enable you to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge about teaching as you observe students and work with individuals and small groups as well as whole classes. Your faculty team and field experience coordinators will engage with you in your field experiences, and provide opportunities for you and your peers to discuss what you learn, and to understand in depth the role of schools and teaching in Canadian society. The success of your program will depend on your ability to initiate your own learning experiences within the context of school and community, and on your willingness to take on increasing responsibilities in the field setting.
