Roles and Responsibilites
Financial Services Division
- Provide leadership in establishing financial accounting strategies and policies
- Promote a culture of shared accountability and financial stewardship
- Develop and implement applicable policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ensure the integrity and transparency of the university's financial systems, processes and policies
- Provide financial information and reports to senior administration, the Board, and others to support management decision making
- Provide oversight to the administration of all university funds
- Provide expert guidance and advice to the university community on financial management issues
- Monitor and review university activity to ensure compliance with applicable policies, guidelines and procedures
- Provide training to individuals with financial management responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a strong internal control environment
- Ensure university compliance with the terms of contracts and/or funding agency/donor guidelines
