NOTE ON FIELD TRIPS

Many of the field trips are undersubscribed. We strongly encourage CAG delegates to register for the field trip of their choice on or before May 18, 2007, to ensure the trip will still be available. Insufficient registration may cause cancellation of one or more of the trips. To register for field trips go to the field trips page.

CAG 2007 Program

The final CAG 2007 program is now available and may be viewed HERE. The program and abstracts will be available in printed form upon registration.

CCA Annual Conference Workshop
Moving Maps: Taking GIS into the field
Tuesday, May 29th 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to combine a laptop, a GPS init and GIS software to create live, moving maps that display your real-time position on satellite imagery. You'll even get to go home with a brand new GPS unit!

Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve Tour

Trip includes a late lunch of Ukrainian food (please contact Sharmalene at srmendis@fes.uwaterloo.ca if you have any dietary restrictions), a visit to a Reserve Research and Education Centre and a tour of an environmental plan farm. Please bring a snack to hold you over until lunch is served.

Lanigan Potash Mine Tour

Because of mine maintenance the company has informed us that they must reschedule the potash mine tour. This tour will go ahead but unfortunately, it is now scheduled for Friday, May 25, a few days prior to the start of CAG 2007. For those wishing to participate, full details can be found at this link. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

St. Gregor Wetlands Tour

The time for this tour has been changed. It is still scheduled for Thursday, May 31, however, it will begin at 10:00 a.m. and expected time of return to campus is 4:00 p.m.
