Celebration of Teaching

On September 12, beginning at 3pm in Marquis Hall's Exeter Room, the President, Provost, Vice-Provost Teaching and Learning, along with the Gwenna Moss Centre, will host the 2013 University of Saskatchewan Celebration of Teaching. At the event, the Provost's teaching awards for 2013 and special recognition of the University’s award-winning teachers during the past academic year will be presented. 

Schedule

  • 3pm Gathering with refreshments
  • 3:30pm Formal Program with ULC Director Jim Greer, Vice-Provost Teaching and Learning Patti McDougall, USSU President Max Fineday, Graduate Studies and Research Adam Baxter Jones and Provost and Vice-President Academic Brett Fairbairn.
  • 4:10pm Peter Stoicheff
  • 4:30pm Gathering continues

Provost's Awards

The recipients of the campus-wide Provost’s Teaching Awards, who were formally presented with their awards in April, are:

  • Provost's Award for Excellence in Aboriginal Education: Sheila Carr-Stewart
  • Provost's Award for Excellence in International Teaching: Simonne Horowitz
  • Provost's Award for Outstanding Innovation in Learning: Christopher Todd
  • Provost's Award for Outstanding New Teacher: Regan Schmidt
  • Provost's Award for Outstanding Graduate Teaching: Bonita Beatty
  • Provost's Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Teacher:Leah Ferguson
