Ten weeks from 2:00 – 4:30 pm, starting Wednesday, January 23, 2013
The purpose of this non-credit course is to introduce graduate students, especially with no prior teaching experience, to basic pedagogical concepts and practices so that they can survive and thrive in their first teaching assignments in a classroom, laboratory, or tutorial setting. Although grounded in sound pedagogical theory, this course will encourage the development of practical skills and strategies that can be immediately implemented in the participants' classrooms. To register in this course, you must fill out an application form and submit it to gmcte@usask.ca or drop it off at Room 50, Murray Building. While this is a non-credit course, it will appear on your transcript as a Pass/Fail.
