The Resources section offers "Top Picks" on the teaching portfolio and an annotated list of web-based resources, including those devoted to portfolio development.

Excellent site. Clear, practical, and informative guidelines for creating portfolios for teaching, professional development, research, and community outreach. The site also contains web links to classroom assessment techniques and other resources.

Illinois State University: Center for the Advancement of Teaching
Very useful site. Contains a good bibliography of resources on the teaching portfolio and five sample portfolios that can be downloaded.

Flinders University, South Australia
Useful information about developing three kinds of professional portfolios: teaching, research, and service.

University of Edinburgh: ePortfolio Research and Development Community (ERADC)
The creation of David Tosh, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Edinburgh, this compact site provides references and opportunities to explore ePortfolios as tools for learning, assessment, & personal and professional development. The site includes some excellent international links and a new weblog.

University of Victoria: The Teaching Dossier Kit
A very useful site from The Learning & Teaching Centre at the University of Victoria, giving detailed information about the teaching portfolio. The "Seven Steps" for portfolio preparation are especially helpful.
